What do quantum computers and aliens have to do with a diner in Nevada? In the Escape Game Alien Grill at Illuminati Escape in Berlin there are answers to this earth-shattering question. The big goal: defeat the Illuminati, save the world! In the Alien Grill awaited us not only an extraterrestrial surprise!
Are there aliens? In a back building in Charlottenburg, the answer of the Illuminati and agents is unanimous: Logical! In this rusty diner bathed in flickering green light, something is not quite of this world after all. Of course, the Illuminati have their fingers in the game. Our team of agents enters the Alien Grill for 60 minutes and embarks on an exciting mission!
In our experience report, you’ll find answers to the following questions:
How successful is the equipment and atmosphere?.
How well thought-out, original and how difficult are the puzzles and tasks?
And for whom is the Alien Grill at Illuminati Escape worthwhile?
Alien Grill is our third adventure at Illuminati Escape – we’ve already hit a jackpot as agents there in Macau and foiled a cyber attack in Omsk. A special feature of Illuminati Escape: the Escape Rooms are connected by a spanning story – we played them chronologically. However, it is also easily possible to play each room on its own, it has its own self-contained mission. The fourth Escape Room is under construction and is expected to open in summer 2020.
We were allowed to play the Escape Game for free as writing agents. (Talk about agents not writing mission reports!).
Welcome to the infamous military restricted area in Nevada
Rumors have been swirling for decades that mysterious things were going on in the Nevada Desert. But far and wide there is nothing to be seen on this godforsaken patch of earth except an abandoned diner.
The center suspects that the earthquakes that frequently occur here have something to do with the quantum computer that fell into the hands of the Illuminati. And then there is the rumor that a UFO crashed here. High time to get to the bottom of it!
So we’re standing in front of the abandoned, boarded-up diner in the middle of Nevada. A neon tube flickers – it looks quite atmospheric. Ah, there, a door, it slams shut – darkness. It’s pitch black. It’s good that we were equipped with two sparkling flashlights and a device to keep in touch.
We, that is 4 agents, sent on this mission to once again thwart the world domination of the Illuminati. As we did in the casino in Macau and the computer store in Omsk, we expect a real race against time. The Illuminati are seriously tough opponents!
In the pale light of the glow sticks we recognize a generator – defective, of course! Barbecue and meager furnishings – everything looks abandoned. Really everything? Off we went searching, puzzling and combining.
Bringing hidden things to light, unmasking messages, finding and interpreting clues, and every now and then a pointed scream from our skittish new agent, in her first Escape Game kept us nonstop on our toes.
Overall, the Escape Room Alien Grill in 60 minutes to create definitely – but it has it in itself! Different moderately difficult to difficult tasks and different types of puzzles await you. Brains are required – but searching, finding, trying, working together and doing just as much!
The agent center sent us clues, because time was breathing down our necks! And this much is revealed: radioactive it goes in this extraterrestrial Escape Game also still and we were not only once irradiated.
Our team – 4 pretty radiated agents
Atmospheric, tricky and a real team adventure – the Escape Room Alien Grill convinces with different puzzle types and tasks and successful equipment. You are allowed to spend a maximum of 60 minutes in this Escape Game unradiated and alive – and they fly by quickly.
We came with high expectations, after the Alien Grill was already our third Escape Game at Illuminati Escape and these were absolutely not disappointed! Also this time we got our money’s worth. All three rooms were completely different in atmosphere, décor and puzzles. What we like most about Illuminati Escape is the love of detail and the providers’ palpable enthusiasm for Escape Games, which is evident in the well thought-out conception and the props and puzzles developed specifically for the subject of the missions.
The whole mission is well thought out and sophisticated – and the riddles challenging. Classic number or lock puzzles as in the early years of Escape Games and still common with Escape Game providers, you will not find any here. Instead, combination puzzles, through which even times hidden doors open as if by alien hand. And action is also required :-).
In any case you should also work closely together as the team (that way Escape Games are the most fun anyway)! One thing is revealed: Towards the end there is a real highlight as a task. Let yourself be surprised!
However, if you ignore central hints and props, it is impossible to master the Alien Grill successfully. In this case, the game master becomes especially important, who can send hints when time is running out or you get stuck. So, keep your eyes open.
Alien Grill is a challenging, well-designed mission. Atmosphere, equipment and puzzles are specially designed and great. Alien Grill is one of 3 missions connected by an overall story. Even experienced escape gamers will get their money’s worth here!
